PLEASE HELPI have a set of four hand crafted country kitchen chairs that were made by my great grandfather as a wedding present for an uncle. I am not sure of the date but it would be pre1935. They are in good condition and still useable. Submit your estimate of worth |

As I told you I am not knowledgeable of antique prices. Looking on your site I get the opinion that they could be worth from five dollars to five hundred | |||||||||

Hi Jack,
You're right, your great grandfather's chairs are worth somewhere between $5 and $500 dollars :) The true value of your great grandfathers chairs lie in their historical value. There are a lot of collectors out there looking for true american folk art and your great grandfathers chair are terrific examples! I would think you could easily get $30-50 dollars each, so their total value is around $120-200 dollars. Thanks for sharing and your great grandfather was a great carpenter!! |
