PLEASE HELPHi I have this instrument that was used for the testing of telegraph ines. Apparently it can send morse code. I dont know if it is in working condition. I've been told it dates back to 1875. It is in original condition with the original leather pouch. Lettering on the dial is Telegraph works, Silverton london. I would like to upload a picture but I dont see anywhere here that will allow it. Kind regards Ian Submit your estimate of worth |

Hi Ian,
Very cool telegraph instrument! Vintage and antique instrumentation and test equipment is very popular right now and seem to sell very well. It appears this piece of instrumentation was used to test the signal strength on telegraph lines. I would think it would be worth more, but here is the exact same instrument that sold for $200 dollars: Vintage telegraph galvanometer Thanks for sharing! |
