Do you own antiques or collectibles but have no idea of their worth?

It can be very expensive to find out the value of your antiques. Why not use the internet to find out more information about your antiques and collectibles, or even post the item for sale and find potential buyers of your antiques (all for free!).

Click here for a free antique appraisal. Submit a description and a photo of your antique and find collectors willing to help out by estimating their worth.

Are you a dedicated antique collector? Help out fellow antique collectors by submitting your estimate of the below antiques. AntiquesNavigator offers this service completely free of charge, but other than antique padlocks we are not experts on all antiques and collectibles. If you own an extremely rare antique that belongs in the Smithsonian, you're probably better off putting the antique up for auction with Sotherby! However, if you have more commons antiques and collectibles and are curious to their worth, then we can help! AntiquesNavigator does not guarantee the accuracy of the free appraisal, so it might be a good idea to wait until you get at least a couple of responses from our readers before deciding the value of your antique or collectible.

Estimated Value submitted by Tim

Hi Tara,

I'm not sure about the Greek theory. The dragon depiction would be more typical of asian cultures. Your antique pen case and inkwell is estimated to be worth between $50-350 dollars.

Thanks for sharing. Very cool antique!

The egyptian revival was popular in the US up until the 1920's. There are even pieces similar to your clock that are still produced. Here's a great link to the history of the eqyptian revival period:

http://www.metmuseum.org/toah/hd/erev/hd_erev.htm

Your clock looks to me to be from the early 20th century, but it's in pretty rough shape. I would estimate its value in the $100-200 dollar range. Here is a similar eqyptian revival clock that sold in the past in that range:

Charles filed havalin plate In pink china, has little coloured birds and white flowers . 10" x 7" approx. Looks like it had some gold edging at one time.

Estimated Value submitted by Becky

Hi Kim, The mark on your Charles Filed Havalin Plate have both CFH and GDM in the upright position. Some of the research states that Charles Filed Havalin retired in 1881 and that is when Gerard, Dufraisseix & Morel took over and in 1882 the mark should have CFH over a upside down GDM so when the plate is turned the GDM is right side up. Other research shows the trademark as shown on your piece. Without knowing if yours is an original at auction it would bring between $10 to $30.
Below are some links to help you:
